kimono hoodie sketch

so i'm doing a wearable art piece for a show in october, did a few sketches, just basic preliminary stuffs. the idea is to have a kimono-industrial-hoodie with all kinds of differing textures, sewn on bits and bolts, and a fully "illustration-style" embroidered back panel on the jacket. very ambitious, i hope i can get it done on time. here's one of the first sketches, i'll update as it develops...

i got no idols - 'cept juliana

some people have dreams of flying, some people have dreams of winning the lottery, me - i have dreams of meeting juliana hatfield. yep. every time i start feeling optomistic, or doing creative things again, i dream of meeting her. last night's dream was especially crazy. i met her at a record store and rambled on and on and on about how much i loved her music, how much i loved the realness she portrayed, how i've adored her since i was 13, etc... i woke up feeling embarrassed, ha! i probably would not even have the balls to say hi if i met her, let alone gush like a some silly fangirl. i spent the morning drawing her, this one was my fave.
